Welcome to St. John's Lutheran Nursery School. The school was
established in 1977 and is sponsored by St. John's Ev.
Lutheran Church in Holbrook, New York.

It is our mission to guide the children
into successful and purposeful Christian lives and to maintain the
highest standard of education.

We believe that the school and parents should work closely together since
both are vitally interested in making your child's first school experience a pleasant
and exciting time.

At St. John's your child will be exposed to activities that
will strengthen his/her skills, encourage creative play with others and broaden
his/her knowledge of God's world.

Nursery school for children provides an excellent opportunity for the children to:

-Gain a thirst for knowledge.

-Help them get a good start toward reaching their
potentials.

-Give them some basic experiences for future
learning.

-Provides experiences with other children of the
same age.

-Meet their needs as individuals and as a group.

-Encourage them to develop a positive attitude
toward themselves, school and learning.

-Help them to know that there are friendly and
loving adults outside the home.

-Provide some experiences which they do not
have at home.
