When we see problems all around us, we should always remember that God loves and protects us. The world offers comfort and protection, but they eventually fail. Indeed, “Salvation belongs to the Lord!” and Jesus proved to be our savior when He died for our sins.
(more…)In this psalm, we pray for Zion, whose destruction is strewn about us. Historically, this refers to Jerusalem which was destroyed by Babylon, but as always Zion is representative of God’s people. We are a mess, but we pray that God’s glory may return and bring about a faithful response from the nations.
